I'm heading up to bed to watch it now. Those girls!
... my choice of who would play Bette was none other than Susan Sarandon. She has the perfect eyes and bone structure to play Bette.
Oh yes- those EYES! I read somewhere years ago that she was burned as a child and it resulted in her having those enormous eyes. Don't know if there's truth to that story as we never see any scars on her face but who knows? The eyes, aye. Another good one, once she gets a bit more age on her, would be Amanda Seyfried. Or for a younger Bette, say. Like back when she did Jezebel.
I'm thinking of the 'eyes', ye understand. Those big, buggy, but somehow alluring eyes. Kim Carnes was right.
I'd never heard this! It's weird because about ten years ago I had an idea to write a screenplay about the incident of when one of Bette's husbands ended up underneath a bus while walking down the sidewalk with Bette and my choice of who would play Bette was none other than Susan Sarandon. She has the perfect eyes and bone structure to play Bette. There was some controversy about the death as some people thought that Bette pushed him as they were arguing. She was the worlds biggest star at the time so maybe it was indeed covered up....
Our friend Google would help you.....I disremember the man's name. It wasn't anyone real famous like other husbands of hers were.I'd never heard this!
I think I need to get a biography on her.Okay, my bad. He didn't get hit by a bus. He 'fell' off the sidewalk and suffered a head injury and died later.
Bette Davis - Evil murderer or just plain unlucky?
She definitely had an interesting life. I might suggest Mother Goddam. The book was written by a man and then Bette wrote small tidbits in it. What he wrote was printed in black while hers was printed in red. Straight from the horses mouth so you know it's got to be accurate, good and juicy!I think I need to get a biography on her.

Can't lose with Kathy!!!I am into this just for the mere reason that someone mentioned that Kathy Bates is in!
I just always assumed it was a thyroid condition.Oh yes- those EYES! I read somewhere years ago that she was burned as a child and it resulted in her having those enormous eyes. Don't know if there's truth to that story as we never see any scars on her face but who knows?
Thanks for the ear worm!! God, this song was everywhere when it was released. It was a favorite of mine and the album has a lot of great songs on it.I just always assumed it was a thyroid condition.
Her eyes are just riveting!
