... my choice of who would play Bette was none other than Susan Sarandon. She has the perfect eyes and bone structure to play Bette.

The eyes, aye. Another good one, once she gets a bit more age on her, would be Amanda Seyfried. Or for a younger Bette, say. Like back when she did Jezebel.

I'm thinking of the 'eyes', ye understand. Those big, buggy, but somehow alluring eyes. Kim Carnes was right.

Oh yes- those EYES! I read somewhere years ago that she was burned as a child and it resulted in her having those enormous eyes. Don't know if there's truth to that story as we never see any scars on her face but who knows?

It's weird because about ten years ago I had an idea to write a screenplay about the incident of when one of Bette's husbands ended up underneath a bus while walking down the sidewalk with Bette and my choice of who would play Bette was none other than Susan Sarandon. She has the perfect eyes and bone structure to play Bette. There was some controversy about the death as some people thought that Bette pushed him as they were arguing. She was the worlds biggest star at the time so maybe it was indeed covered up....
I'd never heard this!

I think I need to get a biography on her.
She definitely had an interesting life. I might suggest Mother Goddam. The book was written by a man and then Bette wrote small tidbits in it. What he wrote was printed in black while hers was printed in red. Straight from the horses mouth so you know it's got to be accurate, good and juicy!

Loved it! Thank goodness they ran a promo on Fox because I'd forgotten it was premiering on Sunday night. I was surprised that it was not bleeped. I mean, the F-word, the C-word, even! FX has been pushing the envelope with its dramas but, with this, they crumpled the thing and tossed it in the fire. Thank goodness. This also makes me look forward to the next installments of Fargo and AHS.
