I found that "Note" interesting, too. Does SK think his Bachman work is darker?

Good question-he didn't seem to think he needed the final map, yet he didn't strike me as a "brilliant" guy. But maybe he was just smart enough...
I'm a fan like you. Let's see, Bachman did Rage, The Long Walk, and I thought was a loose candidate of George Stark in The Dark Half. It made sense to me that he would think Bachman is a bit darker, but I can't read his brilliant mind. 8)
Interesting how he waited in the back of a car. Had to admit, I checked the back of my car this evening coming out of the pizza shop. [I am so goofy}
I always find it interesting when people post about the differences between SK and Bachman books. Maybe I would understand more if I would have read Bachman books when they were first published, not knowing it was actually SK.
Morgan, what do you think about next Friday? Will you be around?
I thought this was an interesting way for him to approach his "targets!" He did have the element of surprise working for him since they could only see his gun and shadow.
I really didn't know much of a difference. I read thinner when I was a kid and remember thinking he had many of the same word choices and ways of phrasing things as Stephen King. But as a kid, I didn't know if it was a normal thing that most adults do or if he mimicked SK.
I certainly hope so! I don't want to break my perfect attendance!
I'm trying to remember-is the narrator's name ever revealed, since he tells the story in first person?
Should we read The Doctor's Case for next week, Morgan? That way, we could be ready. If we can't make it, then we will hold off for a week, but if we can let's go for it.

Love finding connections to his other stories. Feel like I won $50. bucks every time I can make another story connection.

I thought about The Stand as well-remembering when those two thieves held up a guy in his own living room. Won't reveal any "spoilers!" 
I will work on it too. I don't like the commercial aspect to this holiday anymore. Would love to bake cookies, but my oven fritzed out (on Thanksgiving) and just haven't had the cash to get it fixed. Maybe I will have to make many, many batches in my toaster oven insteadI caught that too!
