I'm a fan like you. Let's see, Bachman did Rage, The Long Walk, and I thought was a loose candidate of George Stark in The Dark Half. It made sense to me that he would think Bachman is a bit darker, but I can't read his brilliant mind. 8)
I always find it interesting when people post about the differences between SK and Bachman books. Maybe I would understand more if I would have read Bachman books when they were first published, not knowing it was actually SK.

I really didn't know much of a difference. I read thinner when I was a kid and remember thinking he had many of the same word choices and ways of phrasing things as Stephen King. But as a kid, I didn't know if it was a normal thing that most adults do or if he mimicked SK.

Should we read The Doctor's Case for next week, Morgan? That way, we could be ready. If we can't make it, then we will hold off for a week, but if we can let's go for it.

I'm trying to remember-is the narrator's name ever revealed, since he tells the story in first person?

I don't remember that he told his name, but I did catch a connection to another story. The main narrator said "I did time with him in the Shank."

I caught that too!
I won't have any trouble getting the reading done for next week. I don't have any holiday plans, but understand if it's too hectic for others!
I will work on it too. I don't like the commercial aspect to this holiday anymore. Would love to bake cookies, but my oven fritzed out (on Thanksgiving) and just haven't had the cash to get it fixed. Maybe I will have to make many, many batches in my toaster oven instead ;)
