We're studying this book in my creative writing class, and just got to the part around the bottom of page 163 where Stephen equates composition to excavating a fossil. I've racked my brain trying to find a way to describe how I write to my teachers, but this feels like the most accurate way to describe it.

So, I don't know if you'll even see this, but thanks Stephen! I've learned a lot of interesting stuff from your book!
