There is no mystery about the JFK assassination. Oswald's rifle was found on the 6th floor of the Texas School Book Depository. His prints were on that rifle and the boxes around the window from which several witnesses saw a rifle. One witness gave a description of the shooter within a few minutes of the assassination which matches Oswald. Shell casings from Oswald's rifle were found under that window. Bullets and bullet fragments recovered from the victims and car match those fired from Oswald's rifle. Oswald carried a long package to work that morning which he later denied to the police. He was not in the presence of anyone else at the time of the shooting. Thus, he had no alibi. He fled the building within three minutes of the assassination not pausing to even ask what was going on. He returns to his boarding house where he obtains a pistol. Murders a police officer who stops him on the street. Flees to a movie theatre where he enters without buying a ticket. Resists arrest and tries to shoot another police officer while shouting "it's all over now." He denies owning a rifle even though his wife confirms that he does, there are pictures of him holding it, and documents confirming it was mailed to his PO Box. His wife also confirms that Oswald had previously attempted to assassinate General Walker by firing a shot at him. There is no doubt from the evidence that Oswald was the assassin of JFK. It is 99.999% certain he acted alone. The .001% doubt only exists due to the impossibility of proving a negative with absolute certainty.

how do i change that "Member" thing to something personalized?
I think the way you do it is to click on your user name at the top right of the screen and at the very bottom you should see a place to Update your status. If that doesn't work, maybe someone else can fill you in. I just always have it as Administrator so have never had to do that.

Sure, I am willing to accept he was A shooter, but it's just highly unlikely he was the ONLY shooter. For a patsy-scheme to work, you would actually have to have someone to play the patsy.

Also, how do we know this was a reliable witness? Witnesses are notoriously unreliable, and tend to please establishment values, hence the many many testimonies against poor whites or blacks in general. Also, witnesses are pressured and coerced to say whatever the cops/DA want them to say, and they are bribed with praise and "playing along".

But did you mean that Mister X. was more or less made up by Oliver Stone, or that he was really part of a conspiracy?
Yes, yes it is my opinion he was made up by Mr. Stoned...hey I really enjoyed that flick, and it's also my opinion it truly raised some inspired questions, and that's fine, but you are aware that wasn't anything close to a documentary, right?

Neither was Midway (1976), but we all accept that as factual. The essence of JFK was factual information.
Are you saying that because Pearl Harbor (2001) wasn't a documentary, it was entirely fictional and that the Japanese didn't bomb it in 1941?

Mr X., as character might be made up, like someone said, there's no definitive way of knowing that either way. But that the NZ papers ran profiles of Oswald oddly soon, is a true fact. Now, if that was odd or not, is up to everyone opinion, everyone's got a whole.

Pearl Harbor must not have actually happened, of course.

Perhaps we have a different definition of patsy. I can't see how Oswald can be characterized as a "patsy" if you entertain the possibility that he was a shooter. That would make him guilty even if others were involved. btw: when Oswald claimed to be a patsy he was not alleging that he was being set up as part of a conspiracy. His full statement indicates he was claiming to be a patsy because he had lived in the Soviet Union. In other words, the police had identified him as a suspect and arrested him for his political views. A rush to judgement defense. We know that is false since none of the arresting officers had a clue who he was much less that he had lived in the USSR at the time of his arrest. He was claiming innocence, but not any knowledge regarding who was responsible. The witness (Howard Brennan) identified the exact 6th floor window and a person matching Oswald's description as the shooter within just minutes of the assassination. He provided this information to Dallas Police. The proximity in time to the crime allows us to conclude that he could not have been influenced or coerced by news and later events. But even if his testimony is disregarded there is a mountain of physical evidence linking Oswald to the crime. There is no such evidence linking him to anyone else as part of any conspiracy to assassinate JFK. There are some anomalies and oddities that you would expect to find in any case that has been investigated to the same extent as this one. And Oswald had a nutty background because he was a kook but that is not proof of a conspiracy. If you look at Watergate, for example, you see how even a relatively simple conspiracy involving a small group with the protection of a sitting President quickly came to light. Nothing like that has happened in the JFK case in the last 50 years which would have been a much more complex conspiracy involving dozens or even hundreds of government officials, doctors, random citizens, and law enforcement personnel.
