Mondays work is over!! Done!! Finito!! I feel like i've through a major fight with Scylla and Charybdis and slain them both. Some king or someone should award me a medal or something for the deed. Ridicolous to feel like that for surviving a days work of course but there it is. Go on, you can laugh at me now. ;-D
May your evening be relaxing.

Somewhere over the rainbow
When you got bigger? Oy - now I feel fat :a11:
...
I have been going to Weight Watchers but I am not really losing weight all that fast...
Neesy, dear, I feel your pain... I'm on a diet, too.
Since the day that I got married, I've piled on a few.
Didn't really pay attention to increasing weight.
Don't have many mirrors in my home so things were great.

Then, about a month ago, at someone else's house,
Looking in a full length mirror, buttoning my blouse
I came face to face with facts... I'd gotten pretty fat
And I missed those bygone days when my stomach was flat.

So, I gave up soda. I drink lemon water now.
Started cooking healthier, though I'm still learning how.
Almost all my recipes use butter, cream, or cheese.
If you healthy cooks have some suggestions, share them? Please?

Wow - good poem!

Andy is of the belief that we should eat full fat everything, just less of it. I don't think Weight Watchers agree. My only advice is to fill up with fruits and vegetables (the more colorful the better).

While he has been home we switched to homogenized milk which is 3.25% fat, but when he leaves we will go back to 2% for a week, then switch over to our regular 1% milk.

You really have to write things down that you have eaten so you can keep track and I know it is a pain in the butt. They also have a plan called "simply filling" where you just eat whichever foods are listed, and somehow you don't have to track, but I think it is a bit more restrictive. (I don't know much about that one).

Buy a Weight Watchers cook book or start with a magazine. You can find Weight Watcher recipes on line. And - move, move, move! Walking is very good as a physical activity most people can do that doesn't require either a gym membership or special equipment, other than good shoes.

Does this help?

When he was little, my son used to watch Lazy Town every day. The show's "villian," Robby Rotten, played by Stefán Karl Stefánsson is in the last stages of cancer. Very sad about this.

Poor guy - that must be awful - they are putting on a brave face; I hope some day cancer can be beaten :apologetic:

This is so great!! What a talent you have, MrsSmeej ! And I could use advice, too. I started actively watching what I eat about 2 weeks ago, but now I'm really motivated. I started using the MyFitnessPal app, which you can get for free on smartphones, and it's a food tracking app that works just like the WeightWatchers one. (The last few days I wasn't logging in anything because I wasn't really in the mood to eat at all, and it started yelling at me, haha.) And exercising definitely helps get the endorphins going.

Ah yes - endorphins - I remember when I came back from Alert I could run for two hours straight (I think maybe I was a bit hooked on the endorphins) but that was 1992 - wow - 25 years ago! How time flies when we're having fun, eh?

I did not actively look for it (honest!) =D:cheerful:
