Happy Friday and weekend for everyone!!

Hope it's been a good week for all. Mine has been busy as usually and I work this weekend so not much relaxing for me.

Star's knee are swollen now, my friend's horse Chelsey kick Star in the knee by mistake yesterday and today it was swollen. But she
didn't limp or anything. I put some cold water on her knee and tomorrow before I go to work I'll go and check how she's doing.

We went back to the cold again. Been -15C on the nights and -8C daytime. Spring is late this year, but hopefully it comes soon.

I'm not want to start a new thread about this but now it's time to move to Finland. It seems like we are the happiest country in the
world right now. =D nothing to complain about. Even if I wonder what it is based on. Most Finns don't even say hi or good morning or smile when you walk by. Okay I am not one of them I try to be happy as much as possible, but don't understand me wrong, there is a lot of people in my country that are really happy and enjoy life here. So maybe we are the happiest country in the world.

With this happy post I want to wish all a good day and stay safe out there.....

((((all in need or not))))

Quick! Someone tell me what book it was where they put a box on someone's head and it had compartments. At the end was a rat. If the person answered unsatisfactorily, they would lift a partition and the rat would move closer to the guy's face.

Was that Brave New World, 1984? or is it something else?

I'm having a conversation in real time about this with my son, need answers!

I know there was a rat in the box on the guy's head in 1984. It had to do with with being his worst fear or something as his punishment

I bet it's that. I read both books, but couldn't remember which it came from. And why were they messing with his worst fear? I'm going to have to read both those books again.

He had committed "sex crime" with a woman, and when she got caught she betrayed him. When he answered Big Brother's minions untruthfully, that was his punishment.

Finally, O'Brien takes Winston to Room 101, the most dreaded room of all in the Ministry of Love, the place where prisoners meet their greatest fear. Winston's greatest fear is rats. O'Brien places over Winston's head a mask made of wire mesh and threatens to open the door to release rats on Winston's face. When Winston screams, "Do it to Julia!" he relinquishes his last vestige of humanity

Okay, this is a mask of wire mesh. Maybe I'm thinking of another book, or maybe even a movie adapted from the story -- because I remember a box and compartments and the rat advanced through a series of sliding doors closer to the person's face. hmmm, now I'm going to have to try to think about that -- sand through my fingers when it comes to memory.
