I love this peacock!!!Happy Birthday Tracy,Hope your day is beautiful.
I was just going to comment on that too. Isn't that a great peacock? It would actually be really pretty embroidered on a pillow.I love this peacock!!!
Wonder what it would take to get DJ to embroider it on a pillow?

I know there was a rat in the box on the guy's head in 1984. It had to do with with being his worst fear or something as his punishmentQuick! Someone tell me what book it was where they put a box on someone's head and it had compartments. At the end was a rat. If the person answered unsatisfactorily, they would lift a partition and the rat would move closer to the guy's face.
Was that Brave New World, 1984? or is it something else?
I'm having a conversation in real time about this with my son, need answers!
I bet it's that. I read both books, but couldn't remember which it came from. And why were they messing with his worst fear? I'm going to have to read both those books again.I know there was a rat in the box on the guys head in 1984. It had to do with with being his worst fear or something
and thank you!I know there was a rat in the box on the guy's head in 1984. It had to do with with being his worst fear or something as his punishment
He had committed "sex crime" with a woman, and when she got caught she betrayed him. When he answered Big Brother's minions untruthfully, that was his punishment.I bet it's that. Okay, this is a mask of wire mesh. Maybe I'm thinking of another book, or maybe even a movie adapted from the story -- because I remember a box and compartments and the rat advanced through a series of sliding doors closer to the person's face. hmmm, now I'm going to have to try to think about that -- sand through my fingers when it comes to memory. Finally, O'Brien takes Winston to Room 101, the most dreaded room of all in the Ministry of Love, the place where prisoners meet their greatest fear. Winston's greatest fear is rats. O'Brien places over Winston's head a mask made of wire mesh and threatens to open the door to release rats on Winston's face. When Winston screams, "Do it to Julia!" he relinquishes his last vestige of humanity
