Today while cleaning the kitchen I was listening to Stephen King - Revival — at GW Lisner Auditorium via youtube.

Mr King was talking about a short story he had had shooting around in his head after witnessing the time men have to endure waiting for their other halves to emerge from the Ladies Room.

He wondered what would happen if the women that had entered, did not come back out. Anyhow, Mr King went on to say he had never finished the story as he could not come up with an ending that felt right. During this conversation with the audience he said if anyone could come up with something that did justice to the initial idea he would be happy to talk about a collaboration on the short story.

After the recording had finished I carried on with my chores but unlike before, the scene of the Ladies Room Stephen had set up, was bounding around in my head. Suddenly a spark of an idea formed and now I think I may have come up with a clear idea of where the story goes that may appeal to Stephen.

The beauty of creativity is it can be born by anyone. And even though I am an ordinary London mum/housewife/ part time graphic designer/ book lover I could well have come up with a gem.

So Stephen, if you have found my post, please contact me and I will be happy to email my idea over.

As my dear old Nan says "If you don't try you'll never know."

I'll pass along your message. He's in the middle of writing another book so might not be in a place where he could take you up on your offer but I'll let you know if I hear back.

I see this thread was started over 2 years ago. However, I have only recently heard Stephen say he would like to hear endings to "The Ladies Room" and as it happens, I too have made an attempt to finish that story. Could it hold a candle next to a story written by a Graphic Designing London mum? One written by, say a Web Designing pizza delivery guy? Well, that remains to be seen! :eyebrow: I would like a chance to submit it though. ;) Please and Thank you!!
