Robert Jenkins is an interesting character to me also. His background as a fiction writer gives credibility to the explanation he gives Albert for their situation (it's a good one!). I like the references to The Shop because I'm rereading Firestarter right now as well.
I like the character but have a little problem with him. He seems too distanced from the whole situation. As if hes not really there. As if it all happens too a character hes created. But this is real and he just takes it in a stride. strange i think.

I'll continue to ponder this as the story progresses. Do you think it has anything to do with being so immersed in the world of fiction he might have issues with reality? :umm:

I do agree with you - he seems detatched. Although his character is vital because he gives us the plausible scenarios for what might've happened.
