I'll tell you who impresses me every time I see him in something, Vincent D'Onofrio. I liked him in this and as The Kingpin recently in Daredevil.

I listened to an interview he did, and he said he had heard someone with a voice like that, and he knew he was going to use it somewhere, some time. "I'll pray for you, a little one".

Well the drive in is cheap - $10/car AND there are 4 screens so if I'm not liking Mag7, I can cruise over to something else. Miss Peregrine's School .... is playing, and they have those huge pickles that take an entire movie to eat. It's all good.

You eat giant pickles while watching a movie? :grinning: Never heard of that one.
Pickles and popcorn?

If they had done the movie just like the first one, then what would have been the point in making a newer version?
This one had a lot more action in it to me.
I loved it, and that is my opinion.

yeh, but then why take the name magnificent 7 if not to entice the original fans in from the cold to watch the 'new movie'

sure it was a great cowboy yarn - just not what I was hoping for .

please please please never ever....Ever remake the remaining gems in my hope chest.

my VHS prayer

never ever remake

I have a serious love of Westerns. When I was a kid my bedroom was the only one downstairs - and downstairs was underground. My dad worked the second shift at the L&N railroad and I'd always stay awake until he got home because I was terrified down there by myself. He'd let me get up and lay on the couch while he watched old Westerns and old war movies. I think from the time I was 6 until I was 10 and we moved, I fell asleep watching old movies with my dad. My mom would have been so pissed if she had known I was out of bed.

I can't believe y'all haven't had a huge pickle at the drive in. Did you go to drive in movies? I don't think it's a Southern thing because I remember having them at the drive in when I was a kid just outside of Cincinnati. They used to be in a big jar and they would have to fish them out with tongs and put them in a wax paper holder for you. Now they come in a plastic bag.

I can't be the only one who has to have a giant pickle at the movies, can I? I think if you went with me you'd understand. You'd try it and you'd like it and you'd wonder how you never knew this magic existed. I'm not really a popcorn eater. I do often bring a roll of chocolate chip cookie dough in with me as well. It's a great movie snack. Oh, but there is the weird garlic breath for days after the giant pickle.

I loved the first couple of seasons of Deadwood with Calamity Jane and Wild Bill. I still haven't gone to see The Magnificent 7. We have a theatre across town the will show movies way past their time. I bet it's playing there. I might venture over to see it.
