Ok,so my partner in crime has gone back home to Canada but Little Stevie and I are going to keep the dream alive. This is sort of a Stephen King Flat Stanly type scenario.I KNOW some if you have your own Little Stevies or maybe a Funko Pennywise or perhaps even a Carrie kickin around your house. You only live once so go get those bad boys and OPEN them! That's right, you heard me.Toys are meant to be played with!(yes even if you are in your.... Ahem 40's)
Ok,so now that they are open what do you do with them? Bring them with you when you go places and snap pics to share with us! It would be fun to see what other states, countries, ect. look like.
Remember not to care when people start backing away from the crazy person taking pictures of a toy.I was the recipiant of much eye rolling from my husband when Little Stevie went Kayaking with us today but guess what? When we got to the tiny waterfall he asks," Would you like me to get out and take some closer pictures for you?" Lol.....there is a kid inside us all.I hope some of you guys will join in!
Don't have a Stephen King toy? ( heh...never thought I'd be typing that) then feel free to use something else! Heck.....you can print out a face and stick it on a popsicle stick!
Make sure you tell us where the photo was taken!

I love kayaking but haven't gotten to go this year. The temps have been brutal and even out on the water, it would be unpleasant. (Don't have a pretty lake with trees anywhere close to take advantage of.)

August in Maine is usually brutal too but this summer has been pretty cool as far as weather goes. It's been weird. But I love it:)

I wish I had a Stephen King toy - for now he is just in my head (quite a bit) - or should I say his stories are in there?

Picked a few blackberries today, plus we picked up some brass left lying on the ground.
Little Stevie has brass! 9 aug 15 023.JPG
There's 5-6 different calibers represented there, 9mm, .45 auto, .22-250, .22, 7.62x39 (i think that's what it is)....357. The .22 is stockpiled until the end of the year when I bring in a load of metals, some from work, some from the bush. A quart baggie full of empty .22 shells fetches me about $15, gas in the tank if nothing else and all it takes is time. The others can be re-loaded, including the 7.63 x 39 which is usually found in steel jackets, Berden (sic?) primers...these ones were brass. If I turned in all the brass for scrap I've picked up over the years, I could fill the gas tank several times over, and I've a 30-gallon tank.

While we were poking around in the bush, Little Stevie found a mud-hole and tried it out...afterward, we headed in to a section of the woods where I have a tree-stand, listened to NPR on the drive in, Little Stevie smiled, and that isn't rain on the metal tree-stand, that's cobwebs. Haven't been there for a time, but two months from now and through the end of the year, I'll be spending many a quiet moment there. Filling a tag is one small fraction of hunting. That last is looking up at the hemlock where the stand is located, maybe 24' off the ground, and an old 40' wood extension ladder I leave out in the woods, retired it from work.

9 aug 15 040.JPG Little Stevie on the stump of a hemlock that had been harvested about two years ago. Don't believe you can count the rings in the pic, but maybe. I haven't tallied them up. A lot.
9 aug 15 041.JPG Little Stevie noticed some tracks on the walk out...had to jump in to mud, too. Coyote, I think, too small for wolf, and probably pretty fresh as it rained like all get-out about 3-4 this morning.

I see Little Stevie picked up a ball cap along the way

We were in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, almost as far north as you can get. As the crow flies, we were about 3 miles from home, but as the Ford drives, 13. Houghton County, area of the country once known, and still is, as the Copper Country, also now called The Keweenaw. Point Mills, across Torch lake from the house.

good eye...yeah...said to me, where's my cap? He often wears a cap, so I drew one in. If I happen to show that window color-sample to a potential customer and have to explain the Smiley face, I wonder if that will help me get the job? Would be nice to get out in the float tube...take Little Stevie along...Lost Lake is real pretty, only a 7-acre lake, big pines on the shore...there's pines nearby that were there when Columbus came over...some of the few that didn't make their way down into the mine shafts to support ground where it had been removed. There's a forest underground. ooga booga.
