The most disturbing news story I've seen in a while

Has anybody read this story?? Apparently it's been out there for a while but I just stumbled accross this. It's bad enough to rape somebody but the sadism in this article is on another level.

I'm not thin skinned at all but this story makes me want to hit something.

Yeah, I can't say too much about these stories... and still be a moderator.

It blows my mind that people would

A - Upload videos and photos of a rape
B - Onlookers would turn it into a Meme and mock the victim
C - Some low life rapper would actually write a song mocking the situation

That's the downside of technology I guess, it shows how cruel people can really.

Human Beings are often sick and vile creatures and yes, the Internet has made the perfect playground for them to carry out their abhorrent behaviours.
I mentioned to a police officer earlier this year, that I often wonder if the birth (and continuation) of the Internet will be what eventually does the human race in.

Morals are not very easy to find these days. When did we get so bad as a society?

It's things like this, and trips to Wal-Mart , that continually reaffirm my long standing support of forced sterilization for a good chunk of society.

You are right. A little here, a small bit there, and over time, significant erosion of common sense and decency toward each other. We need to do the right thing, always, even when no one is watching, because it matters.

...aye, that we should-but with the constant assault on our senses of hatred and negativity, it abrades ones soul like psychic sandpaper-I speak only for myself, but having worked in the prison system for nearly a decade now, I find my more tender emotions harder to bring forth and the tendency to always strive for the right thing-much more of a struggle...

I don't want to see such a video or read about it, sorry.

When it comes to the availability of horror stories, when have we been good as a society? Slave owning, sweatshops, massacres of Indian villages, church bombings, school burnings. Morality is malleable.

When I was working in the system, part of my work ran across, shall we say, dysfunctional families. You can't believe the crap that goes on that never gets out to the public. And it's being done to kids, the most vile things that are worse than you're imagining. It seriously makes you want to renounce your species.
