I wouldn't call it pivotal but yeah - that threw me for a loop, seeing Ross from "Friends" as a school guidance counselor!

I know this may be a bit off-topic, but have you ever read Mario Puzo's The Godfather? The book was terrible, but it was made into a classic (in every sense of the word) movie.
