Since i brought up my two best Stephen King movies up to camp (Refer back to my last post called "Hunting camp") we were watching Salem's lot the part came to the vampire kid scratching at the window. Since i last watched the movie i forgot how creepy that was. Well later in the night it kept coming to my mind and i could not sleep what so ever.

When this originally aired I was home alone (8th grade). My sixth grade neighbor was with me. When Part 1 ended we heard a scratch on our sliding glass door. A curtain was drawn across it. Scared to death, I literally crawled across the floor on my elbows and threw the curtain aside. It was my neighbor's sister standing there, scratching, to bring him home. She was in my grade. She had seen it at her house and came over to bring him home and scare the crap out of us. Very successful!

Just purchased the Blu-Ray. When this first aired I was eleven years old. Part One didn't really grab my interest until the last half hour. Part Two ,the following Saturday, was another story entirely. I remember watching it with my parents and being utterly riveted by it. I felt very adult sitting there with my parents (I'm an only child) I especially liked the sequence in the morgue with Mrs. Glick and Ben Mears and any of the scenes involving Barlow. It's one of my fond memories from my childhood. I lost my father a few months ago so any fond memories with him are important. Aa a result the original "Salem's Lot" occupies a special place. Call it nostalgia.

For me,it was this sequence..the sunny day,the wind,it was almost like a dream sequence as you can see him being taken over by the thing in the casket..and then, when he sits up suddenly and attacks, man, that got me,the first time I saw it..
