G'day from Australia, fellow constant readers. If you've read all Stephen King has to offer, or you've read a lot and you're looking to take a break between his novels, I might have something that'll interest you. It's my debut novel, The Price of Royalty. It's a science-fantasy adventure starring Beatrix Westwood with horror elements inspired by Mr King himself, action akin to Matthew Reilly, and a tone similar to Andrzej Sapkowski's Witcher series, only set in the Milky Way, in the year 2799. Here's the blurb:

Machinas were made to be the galaxy’s greatest super soldiers. Split into four academies, each with their own deadly abilities, machinas were thought to be machines sent from the gods. Enhanced human beings who blurred the lines between synthetic and biological lifeforms.

Upon the destruction of their home planet, Mair Ultima, machinas became disgraced. Scattered among the stars. Now they work as bounty hunters, assassins, bodyguards. Anything that involves spilling blood. Only thousands remain, the most famous of whom is Beatrix Westwood, a Valkyrie Huntress, though she prefers Trix of Zilvia.

Join Trix on her debut adventure as she attempts to rescue a kidnapped princess while evading warlords, slavers, and warring royal families with the help of her oldest friend, Yvach Aodun.

On that note, welcome to the Milky Way in Earth year 2799. It's like the Wild West and piracy's golden age rolled into one lawless expanse. Trix is feeling lucky. How about you?

If that sounds cool to you, can buy a copy on Kindle or Paperback from Amazon by clicking here. The Kindle version is only $AUD4.99 and you get if for free if you buy the paperback. I also have a novella published which is a cautionary tale about immortality, set in my hometown of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

If you're interested about me as an author you can check out my Facebook page (Aleks Canard). I'll be releasing another novel at the end of the year as well. Steampunk fantasy. Should be good. Thank you for your time! If you have any questions I'm more than happy to answer them. Have a good one.

(You can post all about your novel but cannot post the links. Sorry. Our members are smart cookies, they will do the search. ;) -- Moderator)

just read it and i must say i'm disappointed, not one mad max pirate in the whole story!
I was hoping for more leather, or a bit of 'ice pirates' but what i got was more episode 1 phantom menace senate rigging - yawn.
And how the hell did george dubya bush survive the cryogenic frosting ? you never explained that at all.
stick to politics Aleks, space is not for you.
