Hello. This is the first time I am using these boards and as a long time reader of Kings novels I am curious about the real world events that motivates and inspires his writing With Covid -19 so prevalent I was curious to hear if there were events that motivated his writings and where in Kings imagination this virus might lead. .....the Black death.....Ebola......The Andromeda Strain....."Corn Squeezin's"!....... hemorrhagic flu like gooshies in general....all would be my guess.

COVID19 isn't anything like any of those of things or Capt. Trips.

He also wrote a story back in 1977 called Night Surf - have you read it? In it there seems to have been a flu pandemic that came from Asia.
