Do to my severe ADHD it is very very difficult for me to read books much less novels but recently the movie "IT' was reimagined a little bit or a lot from what I hear from the original TV movie of which I only saw half of it when I was much younger and honestly I don't have much of a desire to watch it even though it might confirm my hypothesis which is one thing I have noticed and it is that yellow which is the color of Pennywise's eyes when he is on the attack (otherwise blue) and I am hard-pressed to find A-frame in the movie that doesn't feature the color yellow. I would estimate that there are at least 85% if not a little more of the movie where you can find the color yellow either in the background or the characters clothing Etc. I am not sure what the significance of that is other than the fact that like I said Pennywise eyes turn yellow when he becomes predatorial. Go ahead and watch the movie and try to find a scene where you cannot find the color yellow. It may be nothing but I'm a movie Guru because my ADHD it's much more forgiving when it comes to doing things hands on or watching a movie rather than reading and I think I've watched the new movie 30 or 40 times. Being a person that watches so many movies and such a wide range in genres I would definitely say that it was intentional to put so much yellow in this movie. Tell me what you think about my discovery because I'm looking for some sort of confirmation that I'm not the only one that thinks this is significant and I'm awaiting the second half of the movie to come out and I expect the color yellow to dominate that movie as well. So? What do you think?

Again like I said I've never seen the second half but in this newly released movie Ben from "sosh" as Beverly calls him or as Bowers calls him "tits" has a mad crush on Beverly and in my opinion even though I'm not a poetry guy he in just a few words won her heart. Of course she thinks it's from Billy and she largely ignores Ben's advances and focuses her puppy love on Billy. I actually think that in the second movie when they're all grown up Ben will be cast as someone who went to the gym and becomes a lady killer. Not literally of course haha but I think they will end up together in the end and not Billy and Beverly. Just my assumption. I'm sure everybody else on here knows what happens and please do not spoil it for me. I've heard that Beverly will be cast Bryce Dallas Howard even though I think Beverly is a spot on Amy Adams. in the pharmacy they even went on to do what I thought was a clue as to who she would be cast in the future when she said that the pharmacist looked like Clark Kent and he said she looked like Lois Lane "creepily I might add" but as we all know Amy Adams is currently cast as Lois Lane in the new Superman franchise or Man of Steel. Don't know if BDH gets the role due to a scheduling issue or whatever the reason I actually think that both actresses give Stellar performances and I know either one will do it justice.

Howdy Ndupont39! I guess I'll have to watch it again as I didn't notice all the yellow. I wonder if it was consciously thrown in by the director or whether it was just serendipitous. I saw it at the theater originally and when the dvd came out I purchased it and watched it at home. My dvd player at the time was a little wonky so I watched it in black and white the second time I saw it. I thought it was quite good in black and white. Welcome aboard matey! mal

In magick (and I believe magic was mentioned in the book at least once or at the very least implied) some of the significance of the color yellow include transformation/transmutation and adaptability. These are big themes in the book as the creature can change appearance and experiences fear when it senses change (learning of the existence of the Losers and maybe another One.) IT's changing appearance come in adapting to the fears of it's victim. The kids also experience transformation and adapt as they became more than the sum of their parts and again when they part from each other for good. But I wouldn't swear that's why the use of yellow was so prevalent in the movie.

I think yellow is also known to agitate people. Orange also.
