I bought it when it came out. Similar to my reaction to Misery and Gerald's Game, I couldn't stop reading. I'm not sure why this book doesn't get more respect. Many fans complain about King's meandering subplots but this book was fairly stream lined and fast acting as a shot of tequila. This is one that I remember having nightmares about. Stark whispering in my ear: 'Welcome to Endsville, where all rail services terminate.' It really got into my psyche...not unlike Thad's struggle in the novel. Btw...great ending. This one leaves a lasting impression on the reader.
