Howdy,
I have been a BIG fan of Mr. Stephen since I cracked the cover of a first printing of the "The Stand" back in nineteen-dicketty-two.
Anyway, I'm currently reading "The BoBD" and LOVE "The Dune."
BUT, to paraphrase The Master himself, As long as he lives, NO work is completed:
Soooo, as he implied (hell, he actually SAID) that "The Dune" has one of the best ending lines EVER. . . . I agree.
BUT again ( we live our lives in the "but-s," alas): Was there enough foreshadowing? . . . What IF we met Anthony in the opening scene (he's on a bummer job with a cranky old client, but getting paid). And what if the Judge asked if he could call him "Tony" because that's how he always thought of him?
Anyway, read the story and tell me I'm wrong.
Thank you, for entertaining and scaring the holy heck out of us, Mr. Stephen!
