Haven't read this one in years but I'm embarking in a reread! Started it this morning and only read the first chapter but I'm sucked in once more. The prose is beautiful. The prose, the setting, the story is like something from a dream (which I suppose was intentional). So excited to take this snow day to dive into this one once more :)

How many times have you guys reread this one?

I think I've read it three times, possible four now. The Talisman was the very first limited gift edition book I ever purchased, way back when. I will never forget the feeling I had when I first opened up the shipping box and took it out to look at. What a gorgeous book! I loved the illustrations! I loved the story! I loved Jack! I loved Wolf!

Also a huge fan.

I did not love Black House, however. I'd be down for a third book, as well, but only if it was 2.5, or something like that.

I don't think this one will ever be topped for me....hence the screen name. It was my first SK book, my first novel really. I absolutely love it and had read it at least 4 times. I always give it another read about every 5 years. It's still every bit as magical as it was the first time. So many highlights and people and places..Queens Pavilion, the Sunlight Home of course, Thayer School, The Railroad, The Black Hotel. Wolf, Speedy Parker, Osmond, Heck Bass and Sonny Singer, Sunlight Gardener, Ruel Gardner, Morgan and Richard Sloat. I could go one and on. Love that frickin book.
