No, I have not. However, I am looking forward to Z nation. I hope SyFy does not mess it up, like they typically do for most Zombie stuff.Has anyone read the Zombie Fallout series by Mark Tufo?
With a riot at his house if he screws with Daryl.

Don't hate me, but from a narrative standpoint Daryl should die. Heroically, and probably not for a while…but not too long, either. With a riot at his house if he screws with Daryl.
How quick is the pace in the TWD comic books?
I think, as far as a lot of viewers are concerned, Daryl is pretty much carrying the show. Very little happened last season and AMC's greed is showing big time. The average cost of each episode is 2.5 million which pretty much cuts out the special effects Darabont had envisioned. AMC makes a 6 millon profit off each episode. I think they need to invest some of that profit into the series.
The average cost of each Under the Dome episode is 3 million. UTD has a larger cast (not counting zombie extras who probably work for pennies lol) and UTD's special effects have been pretty good UTD doesn't get as large of an income from advertisers as TWD. The agreement with amazon helps pay expenses.
I don't remember where I read the above... I got curious and googled production costs a few days ago.

Not tremendous--keep in mind, the comic started over 10 years ago and the apocalypse is still playing out--lol. The point has never been huge action scenes, but observing how ordinary people react to a crisis (this is according to Kirkman in his foreword to the first GN). Lots of talking, in other words
Exactly! People and their motives fascinate me. That style reminds me very much of Mr. King: what do real people do? How do they think? How do they make mistakes and recover from them…or not? That is why I liked the comics more. I like the "talking." I think Kirkman does a great job with developing the characters and like reading their journey unfold

Yup. And season three, where they upped the action and all but jettisoned character development was the weakest season, IMHO (with the notable exception of 'Clear'. Lennie James made that episode WORK ). I think last season was in large part Gimple trying to get the show back on track--he had to play catch up with character development. TV is a visual medium, so there will always be a need for more action than in the comic, but there can be a balance that works. Seasons one and two are a perfect example. I'm rewatching them now, and there's such a difference between those under Darabont and later shows. This season will be Gimple's chance to show what he can do.
Clear was on my favorite episodes. I really like the interaction of Lenny and Andrew it was awesome.Oh, I loved 'Clear!' What a fantastic episode! Even though it's short, I think season 1 still might be my favorite season. There's something special about it...I can't explain it, but when the show ends I'll probably have a better idea of the ranking of each season, lol.
