I got chills - sooooo excited!
I'm at work with no headphones so I couldn't listen, but only watch... but hey, drones! The X-Files is staying true to form, technologically cutting-edge, which Chris Carter always wanted to make sure was a part of the show...
Verdict on episode 1?
I liked it.
Had to catch it on hulu this morning, because even though I told my dvr to tape longer to deal with the delay from the football game, it didn't listen to me. 
Good to see Mulder and Scully again.

Felt like I never left the series. Enjoyed it. Confusion and X-Files are one in the same.

The first, last night, and the last are the arc. My Struggles dealt with Mulder- My Struggles 2 will be Scully. We'll have UFO's, monsters, and comedy plus that Mythology arc of first and last.

I wanted to watch, but fell asleep during that exciting football game last night......
The stupid NFL game delayed the start and my DVR wasn't clever enough to recalculate, so I'll have to watch the second half OnDemand. I like what I see so far. I've been rewatching the original series over the past year or so -- am midway through S7 -- so I feel pretty well caught up except for the part where

I don't think this is giving anything away so haven't done a spoiler, but one of my confusions is that this seems to negate everything that happened in the original conclusion to the series. As long as I pretend that never happened, I think I'll be okay.
Do you want to know about the child or wait to watch it in your rewatches?

Yes, they had a child, William who was given up for adoption-- protection. It is supposed to be dealt with in the re boot.
Nah.....had to order special pins for the Superbowl dolls.
