About eight or ten years ago in Edmonds, WA they suspended a first grade boy for chasing and kissing girls at recess. Told him he was sexually harrassing the girls. Really???? What child has a concept of what this term means? This world just keeps getting better and better......yes, you need a bucket to catch all the sarcasm dripping from my voice right now.

...the more I have read about it...I think such a label is unnecessary, but he needed discipline...it had been an ongoing issue with inappropriate contact...

Sexual harassment, no. But, just because she's a little girl and he's a little boy, unwanted touching and contact is still unwanted touching and contact. No matter what age the person. He had ongoing warnings about this and I think did need a talking too. But the suspension and to label it sexual was wrong.

Russian woman shoots herself taking selfie - Yahoo New Zealand
A 21-year-old Russian woman shot herself in the head when she tried to take a selfie with a pellet gun pointed at her temple, Moscow police report on Friday.
When trying to take the selfie in her office on Thursday, she pulled the trigger of an air gun left behind by a security guard.

She survived the accident, but was hospitalised.

Also on Thursday, a Russian man nearly lost his life while trying to take a selfie while climbing an arched bridge in central Moscow.

The man plunged to the ground and hit the asphalt, but also managed to survive despite having suffered several injuries, for which he was also hospitalised.

The self-portrait taken with a mobile phone or webcam has led to numerous accidents, some with tragic results.

On Monday, a ninth grader died in the Russian city of St Petersburg after falling from a fifth-floor fire escape, which he had climbed to take a selfie.
    O tempora, o mores!
