Well, even as much as my brother and I did not, and still don't, get along, I wouldn't shoot him with an actual rock. That's just wrong. Any fights were hand to hand!

We had our fair share of hand to hand stuff too. Being a year and a half apart causes such I think.
Homemade slingshot is really not that powerful a weapon. Now store bought ones could actually hurt somebody.
Rocks and sticks were all we had. Never really hurt each other much.
To this day, and we both are old men, if somebody rolled up on him I would be standing right beside him.
Country folks are weird I guess.
We kind of like it that way.
Oh and I have never shot a pet with anything, not even a plastic/nerf doodad.
