Ah, another compliment/insult on a Stephen King adaptation! If you read my post about IT & a reissue, you probably know what complaints I have, feel free to reply! If not, here's my complaint. From the research I did on a reissue, they exist, just no bonus features. In the 1999 DVD copy I have, it has a Wide screen & Full Screen option (two-sided disc), original trailer, scene access, & subtitle options. For the transfer itself, my copy has some film grains & hairs here & there. I'd personally prefer to see more condiments added to this burger, like:
- The original work-print (includes extra few scenes, nothing shaking the outcome, apparently)
- Any alternate/deleted scenes
- A slideshow of Creepshow ads/memorabilia (think UHF DVD release )
- Commentary by (mostly) King & Romero, maybe Joe Hill, & whoever else they can get to comment on their segments.
- A 'Making-Of' Documentary *cough* SHINING *cough*, if footage exists
