What are some of your favorite “decade” novels? By decade novels I don’t mean best novels from every 20th century decade but instead a realistic fiction (or at least mostly bound within reality) novel that captures life in a certain decade for a select group of people (whether it be childhood to teenagehood to adulthood, ethnic groups, economic statuses, etc.).
For example novels like “Esperanza Rising” count as life in economic status and racial status in the 1910’s (If I remember the novel correctly) or a novel like “Night” captures Jewish life (religion) during the holocaust in the 1930s-1940s, or “The Outsiders” is 60’s teenagehood.
