Jordan -- EMTP513 sent me this message, can you help?

"Why can I NOT log into this site from my phone? Every time I've ever tried - and even with the right password - it continuously tells me 'The requested user could not be found.'
It doesn't make any sense and, these days, it's really distressing me.
How am I supposed to log into the site from my phone when my machine at home doesn't work?"
The first question is, which phone and browser?

That aside, it sounds like their user name may be getting autocorrected. Alternatively, they should try logging in with the email address associated with their account.

I'm so techno-ignorant I don't even know what OS stands for.... I'm always on the lap top, which has Windows 8 (shudder), and I'm pretty sure it's google we use. As it's my most frequently visited site  the SKMB icon is along the bottom row of "tiles" on the home page. It's darn annoying, first time I post, it throws me out back to the page full of thread titles, then by the time I've battled through a few threads and posted, it throws me completely off the site as soon as I hit "post reply". I always go to the "Todays posts" part and if I reply on something, it chucks me off, then it seems to think I've read all the posts and I miss out on the new threads/replies etc. I realise I'm not being clear at all, and am, in fact, confusing myself typing this...:down:

I only know what OS is because Alex, my best friend's husband who works for Microsoft, told me it's Operating System. But I don't really understand how the operating system "talks" to the machine to create all this stuff I see here.

Well now it's from Cricket (because Sprint was major ripoff a-holes) Android version 4.1.2 and I have no idea if it's "Ice Cream" or "Jelly Bean" because I can't freakin' remember what Alex said now; all I can think is that the damn person who thought it up must have finished the project right before lunch to come up with such silly names. nOn
I have no idea what browser my phone uses. I don't know where to look to find it unless it's Google.
I'm glad my phone is not a patient because it would definitely be dead by now.

You're probably using the stock browser on your Jelly Bean device. You may want to try installing and using Chrome from the Google Play store. The stock browser is basically a stripped down version of Chrome, but it's not as frequently updated. I'd suggest trying Chrome first, and if that doesn't do the trick, we can try some other things.

Hi, Jordan. Lately I haven't been able to post media from YouTube. I get an error message that I can't embed what I'm trying to, stuff I used to be able to. Most of these videos I find at Facebook which I then go to YouTube to post here. It used to work like a charm. I now seem to be able to post from YouTube without having been at FB first, so it may not be an SKMB thing at all, just a new FB or YouTube policy thing or two.

I'd like to be able to continue doing like I used to. If you need to look into it, I'd appreciate it.

Thanx!

I don't log in from FB and have no trouble with embedding YouTube videos, so am thinking that might have been the issue but could still be something that can be corrected through the XenForo software. Just mentioning it to give Jordan more information.
