I noticed that Mr. King left a few of the True Knot alive and away from the carnage that Dan and Abra left at the campground. Are they still alive or did they eventually die of the measles? Another sequel to the sequel?

I think it's possible that some could have survived, and I would be surprised if at least a couple didn't. I don't see a sequel with them, however. Their storyline felt played out to me, though I might see a future in which Abra has to fight her own demons--she seems a mite closer to Jack in temperament than was comfortable. That could be interesting...

Still, I'm happiest when Mr. King is mining new grounds for stories. As much as I liked this (and Black House was okay), to me the best stories are over when they're over.

There are TWO splinter groups of the True Knot. The group that headed South after Crow died and the other that bailed on Rose. It's commonly assumed they'd all die eventually but since they were able to turn Andi, couldn't one or both of these new groups find someone healthy to turn, thereby ensuring the survival of the True Knot? I get that Rose was desperate to survive as well get her revenge but if she had left Abra alone, as one of the member had suggested, she could've tried prepping the next generation of steam suckers. I don't recall the specifics of Andi's turning but if it involved sharing steam then the point is moot as the newbie would've received tainted steam but if the cannisters were used, perhaps the TK would still be around.
