-And p.s. - back when I was a prep, skinny jeans were worn only by punks (of the Sid Vicious variety), not preps. Izods (what we called Lacoste shirts) were the true prepster calling cards. Other than Izods, it was all khaki pants, penny loafers, Sperry Docksiders, madras shorts in the summer, anything by Ralph Lauren, oxford cloth button-down shirts, L.L. Bean anything, rugby shirts, Argyle anything, and hot pink/lime green anything for women.
The preps today are *nothing* like the Buffymites of yesteryear.
