I know, right? Supposedly the tone of the show is going to mimic the film, not the show, so it's going to be quite dark and depressing.
I bought a Twin Peaks t-shirt a while ago and thought of you kingricefan . :) (Haven't worn it - realized afterward that the words "Twin Peaks" over my substantial tatas might be unseemly. Not that you're interested in hearing about that, KRF!! ;;D ;DD  )

....that there's a good'un.....and KRF will appreciate this story as well.....a very good friend of Tracy and I is gay, has been for years......every time he see's us though-before he and I hug it out-he will walk over to wife, gently fondle her boob-pause for a moment and then say "Nope, still nothin'!"......

I can't say this without being un-PC but that little dude always gave me the willies!!
He is meant to give you the willies!! ;-D Everyone here knows that I blame The Wizard Of Oz for my aversion of little people. I know it's not cool these days but I can't help it.

I know this isn't the thread in which I last posted but, oh well...
I'm on episode 2×03. Here are some of my observations:
Cooper does the thumbs up sign alot.
The Log Lady is back and is playing a more prominent role. Still wondering about "the owls".
Lynch's son is in it. I guessed at this but after Googling it I found I was correct.
Bob is creepy as heck.
Lynch loves giants, dwarfs, and ghostly beautiful women who have angelic voices.
Why is Laura's father's hair suddenly white?
Why is the lady with the eye patch so weird?
I want some pie and coffee at the cafe.
Bob is creepy, did I mention that?

Bob is tre creepy! He only gets worse as the show goes on. I can't wait till you see the episode where the killer is revealed. It was one of the most violently shocking things ever shown on television. Be prepared!

Um, why is no one discussing this?
Has anyone watched it yet??
I don't have the channel that it's on. I will have to wait until it is released on disc to watch it as I want to be totally immersed in that world for hours on end. I've read some reviews where folks said that the first episode was quite weird and unnerving. This makes me very, very happy!

Saw the first hour of the revival, I thought it was great. I love how different it is to the original show (not dismissing the first two seasons, just saying it'd be boring if it was the same old faux-soap opera mystery stuff), it feels so harsh and impenetrable.

I am so glad I binged the original and Fire Walk with Me prior to watching the new season. I haven't watched the series since it first aired, and while my memory of it was decent, I would be missing a lot without the refresher. Ditto FWwM: Blue rose, the ring, a whole bunch of stuff that I'd forgotten.

I'm really digging the "house bands" at the end of each episode, especially Au Revoir Simone at the end of ep4.

This is my fear. I gotta do a walk thru the woods and One Eyed Jack's again before I snap and dance with the fire. :)

Without spoilers(I couldn't even if I wanted to as I haven't a clue as to what's going on) I am having a REALLY hard time getting into this. The best part for me is spotting original cast members. There have been some cool, creepy moments but I just can't watch people staring at each for 15 minutes with nothing happening. I fell asleep during last weeks episode and didn't bother rewinding to see what I missed. However, I will continue with it in the hopes that it becomes more coherent and to see what happens(if anything).

I understand your point but, for me, I've been riveted. My mind is bubbling with questions as I watch but that's part of the fun. I've laughed out loud a few times, too. The glass box freaks me out.
