So I am a little over halfway done watching the 'limited series event', as it calls itself, and have to say that this series is really warped. But in a good way! It's not the same old rehash of what went before and there are things that are just so far out there that it makes me smile. Only David Lynch could pull this off. I can't wait to see how he wraps it all up.

I'm rewatching all The X-Files episodes. Sometimes I just can't help thinking of Denise from Twin Peaks. :smile2:

"Coop, I may be wearing a dress, but I still put my panties on one leg at a time if you know what I mean."
and coop's answer?

"No. I don't."

I recorded the new season of this and started watching -- quickly, I realized I had forgotten too much to appreciate what the heck was going on. So, I went back to Netflix (thank you Netflix!) and watched all of season 1 and on episode 13 of season 2.

It made me realize how much I enjoyed this surreal TV experience -- something new and different at the time. Weird, whacky, confusing -- but all in good fun. Really enjoying revisiting it all. Too much time had passed for me to remember the multi layered characters and the settings properly.

But I will tell you this: I can't STAND James. This tormented James Dean rebel-without-a-brain thing he has going is driving me nuts. I can't remember what happens to his character, but I hope the log lady bludgeons him.

You should also watch FIRE WALK WITH ME, as a lot of the new season plays off that prequel.
I think I did. And the fact that I have forgotten so much, I'm going to rewatch it too. This show is "a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma." There is so much to pay attention to. I know people who wrote it off as weird and stupid, but I think it's a mental challenge.

I loathed FWWM and have been known to refer to it as a "steaming pile of crap" but I still think it is a necessary component. lol

Lynch and I have a very complicated relationship...he does what I love so well but then sometimes he does the opposite too.

Wait until you get to the big mythos episode. #8 I think. Prepare to be challenged, riddled and mystified!

When you get to the last episode will you give us a recap of the finale? I watched on Showtime but I think I may have missed the last one.

Last episode: 'Wait, what year is this?' Ring any bells? Man, Lynch really went 'out there' with this new season! I still can't say that I liked it, I really liked it. ;-D I'm definitely going to have to watch it again. I didn't like the fact that Cooper doesn't even show up till 3/4 of the way through.

None.
The last thing I remember was the little boy getting hit by the truck. I'm sure I saw the next episode, though. The spookiest one was the "gotta light?" episode. I had that in my mind for days. Haha.
You didn't watch the end episode then. Yes, the 'gotta light' sequence was quite creepy.

Okay. I made it through Season 2. In doing a little extra reading, it seems that Lynch wasn't involved with the show after they discovered Laura Palmer's murderer. But, he is back at the helm of this recent season -- which I will rewatch that first episode now that I have the whole mythos up-to-date in my head.

Lynch was busy filming Wild At Heart. He didn't like how things were going on the second season and he comes back to direct towards the end. The last episode is going to f*ck with your head!!
