I beg to differ catching up with season 1 now and loving it .
Everything that a made for TV series should be I enjoyed the book but couldn't careless that the TV series varies from the original tome .
It's fun, fast moving ,gripping, What not to like in my view hope it runs and runs.
They took SK book adapted it changed it and there you go.
All about opinions I know but I think there is sometimes book snobbery re SK TV movies mini series .
It's a different genre simple as that and geared to a wider audience than just SK fans .
Under the Dome ,I'm on top of it ,all over it ,get in there my son !

Oh my - glad you like it - you used all caps - does this mean you're yelling?

I don't mind the series - I like Junior's looks, even if he did play the "nutter" at the beginning of the show :m_shy:

This show is the BEST comedy on television ... we laugh and laugh at how awful it is every week of the summer! It is hard to believe that these poor people are being paid to "act" in this series ... we stood up and cheered when Linda the Deputy bit it. I'm just hoping Julia kicks the bucket this season in a most horrendous and satisfying way. The only actor on this show worth a hoot is Dean Norris. You just gotta ask yourself how a guy goes from the best television series ever (Breaking Bad) straight to the absolute worst? I bet he has to shower after every scene to live with himself! LOL!

Joe and Norrie ... oh, boy. Teen angst at its absolute worst. They are the low point of the show, I have to say. They should have been cast as young as they are in the book. SK writes kids really, really, well. Why would they not capitalize on that strength with these two characters for the show?

Julia and Barbie ... completely unbelievable couple. I feel sorry for her dead husband, who ain't even cold yet, if we are to believe the "timeline" spouted in the opening of each episode (two weeks or so? Honestly.). Boy, she's certainly breezing through the mourning period, marching around in her skinny jeans and boots acting all like she's qualified to be in charge. Hopefully, whatever bullet hits her this season will get the job done!

Then there's Junior ... I don't care that he is completely different from the books and not having sex with corpses and all, but WHY does he still tool around in that dorky cop uniform? He looks like an idiot and he's a good looking kid. Hope he can find an acting job after this debacle. I think he has some potential as a t.v. actor.

I cannot wait to see just how bad this is going to be this summer! Woohoo!
