I don't subscribe to Netflix (yup - I'm a dinosaur)

I'm not sure if Netflix will handle the distribution for everywhere.

When is this supposed to air?

There has been no definitive date yet. As far as I know, they are working on the 10 scripts for the episodes. The only cast member confirmed so far to still be involved with the show is Jackson Robert Scott as Bode. An interview with Carlton Cuse the show runner said that they will start filming sometime in the middle of January. IMDB lists it as sometime next year.

One of these days I might sign up for Netflix but for now I just watch stuff on the old TV (wow - I sound like such a Luddite!)

Does this mean the Fox pilot will never see the light of day?

I have no idea. I guess its possible it could end up on the DVD/Blu-Ray when its released. This also means that the pilot that was shot for Hulu isn't being used either. They had to rewrite the pilot, and the other 6-7 scripts that were completed.

I hope that with IT: Chapter 2 being in post-production that Andy can direct the pilot again.

Yeah but if they do one book a season, they would have to add alot of padding to stretch the whole story of just the one book. Plus they would have to rewrite the rules for how Keyhouse works.
....if they truly adhere to each book, they should be able to make a season happen for each one......the fx will be time consuming by themselves.....

Yeah that is true about the Special FX, I'm curious how they are gonna do the head key especially. This is gonna be a CGI heavy show.

I know from the different pics posted by the cast/crew for the Hulu pilot that it seemed to have covered the first 2 parts of Volume 1. I saw the well where Bode finds Dodge. I don't know if the Netflix pilot will follow the same blueprint.
