I doubt it, the pilot was filmed over 7 years ago and the sets were likely dismantled. Even if they were still around, they are the property of another studio. Besides, the new director and studio will likely have their own vision.

As for the actual locations, the mansion at Hartwood Acres (which was Key House in the pilot) is in my home town, and there have been no plans announced that there will be any local filming in the Pittsburgh area this time around. If shooting begins in January, it's even less likely that it would come back to Pittsburgh, as January is a very difficult month weather-wise.

I think you are referring to the FOX pilot, the Hulu pilot was filmed on location in Nova Scotia, and Toronto. They started filming around the time of my mom's birthday last year, to mid November.

I still think its possible for them to do the whole main storyline of the show in just one season, and without cutting out anything important. I just don't want this show to get backlash for adding too much padding. I saw this happen recently with the Batman: The Killing Joke animated movie that was based on a very popular graphic novel called The Killing Joke. Fans went ballistic when the first 30 minutes of it was not something from the graphic novel.

Oooh, this sounds exciting, I haven't read it yet though! It's been on the list for a while but I will have to read before I can watch!!

You should be able to read through all of them before the show comes out. They are just starting production of the show in January, so the earliest it could be out is maybe fall of next year. It will just depend on how long it takes them to film all 10 episodes, and get them edited, and finalized.

....I can't remember the amount of individual issues, which is how I collected them.....the Trade(bound)editions are readily available and not to spendy.....

I've never read the actual The Stand novel. I think its bigger than IT but I could be remembering the wrong novel.

I hope that Andy can return to direct the new first episode for Netflix with IT: Chapter 2 in post-production.
