I unreasonably expected it to be a thrill a minute like the first episode but the story was furthered along without fillers like the first season so I liked it :)

Who do y'all think
killed Angie?

Lina I still like Junior more than Barbie ;;D You might need to create a new poll :)

Do you think it really could be
Junior or someone else who killed Angie? I'm thinking Junior might be too obvious...

I'm wondering what that teacher lady's up to, all cozyin' up to Big Jim and stuff...

I don't trust that teacher one bit!!!!

I'm awkward around celebrities too. I'm a nobody. I could never tweet SK or Joe. Many years ago I was at a con and one of my favorite authors (Roger Zelazny) was alone at a signing table and I couldn't get up the courage to walk over :( L, I have trouble chatting with some of the SKMBers who have had their works published lol. Which cast member are you tweeting with?

Then you'll probably hate that I know someone who knew Roger Zelazney. I'm not afraid to tweet or talk to them but almost NONE of them respond. I try my damned hardest to avoid making a snap judgment on the basis of that one thing they do. But sometimes it gets hard and I find myself slipping into thinking they're snooty. They're NOT all like that and it's not always snubbing behavior, sometimes it has to do with the fact that nobody ever STOPS talking to them and I don't blame them for getting exhausted. Also they have to put up with total DINGwits asking them questions I find inappropriate in a private much less public setting.
You have to give celebrities a chance to show you what they're really like IMO.
I only know this stuff because I lived right in West Hollywood and was partially connected to that scene whether or not I wanted it.
I can tell you a celebrity who really is a terrible person: Tori Spelling. She used to make her dad influence an apology from people she just didn't like, and her dad always fed into her baloney. She was so spoiled that if she were milk the date on her carton would be 1923 - B.C.E.
She used to enjoy the hell out of watching someone in the entertainment business be almost forced into apologizing to her for some damn stupid thing they'd done to Tori. They always chose to apologize for obvious reasons.
I used to harbor contemptuous thoughts about her. Something like 'I wonder when YOU'RE going to need emergency medical transport. You ought to be a barrel of laughs.' She was totally immature and she hasn't changed since the 90's.
She can do nothing at all to me. She doesn't work in health care and I don't work where she pays taxes - IF she pays them.
Sorry if that ended on a note of sadness. I just paid the rent; it always gives me sobering thoughts.

Mike Vogel. Unfortunately I like him too much. You know, the one who plays Dale Barbara.

The ending of the second episode makes us think that
Junior killed Angie... But somehow I think it's not that simple. Somehow I don't trust Sam, too. He appeared like from nowhere and he definitely knows something... he looks like he's hiding a secret.

no bounce no play Will you still love him even if he really was the one who
killed Angie?;;D

Hey, does someone know how many episodes will be released in the second season?

I guess Big Jim needs another co-conspirator since he's killed everyone else he's worked with. I hope she's not a disposable character like Maxine and her mom or the preacher or Ollie. I'm still upset Ollie was killed :( Surely she has some importance other than identifying the plague... and what is the dome going to think about them killing off its favorite species (or intelligence... or the aliens themselves... I'm still confused about the role those butterflies play)? If the humans are being tested for their ability to play well with others, they're in trouble :(

I agree. It might even be someone we haven't met. Where are all these new people coming from? The dome doesn't cover a very large area. It hasn't taken anyone very long to get from the center of town to the perimeter.

None of my friends know anyone famous :( unless I count you who knows someone who knew someone famous :)

I would never make it in Hollywood. I don't care how much influence someone has, if they're going to be snotty brats, I'm going to flip them off lol

I've only seen Mike Vogel in horror movies (Cloverfield, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Open Graves, UTD). I wonder if that's because I like horror movies or if it's because Vogel likes horror. Have you asked him about that?

I'm thinking it could be someone new, too! :) The season just started, so there might be even more characters that we haven't met yet! I haven't read the book, but yes, the town can't be that big, can't it? ;)

Have you seen The Deaths of Ian Stone? A rather interesting movie with Mike playing the main part.

I also think that teacher is very strange, she also hides somethings. And there are really a lot of things unclear... I would add to your list that in the first season the dome seemed to want Big Jim dead (remember when children saw themselves with knifes), and what now... That's strange.

Hey, does someone know how many episodes will be released in the second season?

Well he did in the book. I was happy (if one can call it that, 'happy Junior killed her?') No, I was happy that the story is doing exactly what Richard, my friend of broadcast communications, SAID a series will do.
He said you "can't possibly show everything that's going to happen in a series within the first few episodes. People will get bored and then move on. Move on = loss of money and that equals producers aren't going to do that."
He works in the business but he's never been in a series like that. In fact he's never been in a Stephen King production. He understands that "catapults your career" but he doesn't want to do horror. He prefers straight comedy. There can be comedy in horror but there's also horror.
Anyway he was right about how a miniseries works. According to him, "Under the Dome is doing exactly what it's supposed to and people who don't understand it should probably put a rein on their tongues."
If they simply dislike the content, if they don't enjoy horror, that's a personal preference thing. But if they're upset because they don't understand how a miniseries works, he thinks they'd feel better if they actually learned how a mini-series works. He thinks it would increase their interest in the series.

Are you really trying to explain to people that a series is telling a story over time to keep people tuning in? Who doesn't understand that?

Me for one. But some of the comments I've seen more than just hint that the writer doesn't know that. I'm thinking of two in particular but I have no memory of their names. I'd have to go all the way through and look for it, which isn't possible right now. Technically speaking, I'm probably not even supposed to be talking here. I'm at work waiting for a call - I'm up to date on reports so I'm waiting...

No, because I had no idea he was in all that, too. He was in Grounded For Life. I had a hard enough time getting used to that. Now I find out he was in all THAT? I don't keep up with it. Living in Los Angeles, I think I started to ignore them. I wasn't famous so I wasn't really part of their culture. And I certainly wasn't as wealthy as they all seem to be. The A-line anyway.
I don't know if he likes horror. I just know he's married. I always find that out first. I don't know how she can stand watching him in scenes like that damn bedroom scene.
I can't figure out why Julia stayed with Barbie after she found out he killed her husband. Or has she not found that out yet?
I missed all kinds of episodes from last year because our work in the summer is downright crazy. All this damn gun violence. Two days ago some guy shot a person and we expedited the patient into surgery where he died on the operating table.
The police started looking for the person who did it, but he got away clean.
Last night he came back to the exact same spot and shot 3 more people, seriously injuring one and being caught by police, cuffed and taken into custody.
The guy had made a getaway. Why the hell did he come back to the same place and shoot three more people?
And what the hell is a person like that doing with a gun? It's a rhetorical question.
The point is that I missed too many episodes and CBS isn't letting you re-watch them. I tried to watch online and it refused to work.

I have now, I just hope uploading his answer works. I had to take a picture of the screen and then upload it bc I have no idea how to send Twitter messages anywhere else online, the way other people know how.

first episode second season was the best. loved the stove, knives, etc... danger! danger! ordinary things. Pure Stephen King!

Of course he didn't kill Angie. Red Herrings all over the place.
