Just curious if anyone here writes on Wattpad and what their experience has been like. I may have inquired about this a long time ago, can't recall, but if so, I am repeating myself because I was away from that site for a while and have now started again on it. Specifically, wondering what people do to promote their material, what kind of material works, etc. I'm wondering too if any of those Wattpad stories can lead to short-film production (I'm thinking short film/content may be the next trend, given Jeffrey Katzenberg's startup).

H'lo Rrty, I googled Wattpad. Never heard of it before. It seems like a new updated version of those paperbacks in the 70-80-90's which had advice and addresses for submissions to places which may publish you. Of course the difference here is immediacy and group cohesion/inclusion. I would think that is one possibility among many, although the face of publishing has changed greatly since the advent of instant global communication and sharing. At the end of the day, if you gotta write, you gotta write. Even if no-one ever reads your stuff. Wanting to write would be different than having to write. Mr. King could probably expand on that just based on his voluminous works throughout the years. I'm no writer and I keep all my stories secret so I wouldn't hold too much weight in anything I say. All opinion. Good luck! mal
