If I'm right about this it is a MAJOR spoiler but,

I think we are seeing two distinct timelines/stories. One with White Hat and co. and one with Black Hat and co. My theory is that White Hat becomes Black Hat over the years. 30 years I guess, as that is mentioned in the show. Some of the Hosts are in both timelines because they have always been there since the park opened. Crazy probably, but would be pretty cool........

I'm not sure I'm following you here? There are always good guys and bad guys in the wild west, the white guys coming to the aid of damsels in distress. Sending out a posse to get the bad guy. They are all interacting in real time at the park, their storylines are only changed if a guest changes it.

I'm saying that White Hat's story happened thirty years before what we are seeing happen with Black Hat. White Hat becomes Black Hat over a span of thirty years. Which is how long the park has been opened. Or I'm completely full of you know what.........LOL

I've started to think they're almost trying to do too much in this series. Anthony Hopkins and Ed Harris are brilliant in their roles as usual, but I keep finding myself reversing the DVR to clarify what's going on several times throughout the episodes. This could be due to the fact that I'm not real bright to begin with, but I'm usually able to keep up with the plot of TV series with the few remaining brain cells I have. I've decided to pass on the rest of it. A good idea but overall it seems cluttered.

Me too.The first episode was promising but it seems to be dragging along now.Too many ither new shows that I need to check out.

I still think what's in my spoiler.
I'm wondering if Ed Harris, our man in black is

Richard Benjamin's character from the original show. He was the only survivor, right? And Ed Harris has said he's been coming there for 30 years.

HUGE SPOILER for episode Contrapasso

Anthony Hopkins meets our man in black in the bar.

Conversation:

Man in Black: I think there is a deeper meaning, hiding under all that. The person that created it was trying to express. Something true.

Anthony: If you are looking for the moral of the story, quite simply ask.

Man in Black: I need a shovel. The man I'd be asking died 35 years ago, almost took this place with him. Almost. But, not quite. THANKS TO ME.

Okay, who saved Westworld the first time around? Peter Martin, Richard Benjamin's character.

Loved the explanation of
the original robotic park where Ed used to play 30 years earlier. And the robocop type protocol safe guard for Teddy that protects Hopkins. So many twists in here I really enjoy the idea of the butcher hacking the bird in his spare time.

As for the size of
...the park, it's huge with this new part to explore
did it need to be so big? And how many guys shrugged at their missus when they saw how big
...delores gun was when she defended the overpowered guest
no way could she handle that!
:wack:

Still lovin the
old jittery barman having a drink with Hopkins. It's almost perfect gear slippage, or is it acting

That I think answers your question about knives. Not only with Hopkins, but maybe with all humans. Robots are programmed to intervene. maybe? Go into protect mode?

Spoilers The Adversary

Was that a Yul Brynner guy standing up against the wall when Bernard went downstairs? The cowboy had on a blue shirt, I think, but it has the same body posturing as Yul had in the original.

And, other anomalies detected -- unregistered hosts with the new system. Is Anthony Perkins himself a Robot? Going back to Old Darth's thought on another character -- maybe Anthony transferred his conscience to a bot.

Oh man, that kid's face coming apart and his eyes blinking, awesome effects. So, these are the unmonitored hosts.
I am trying to avert my eyes from the spoiler at the moment

Just wanted to say thanks for reminding me - perhaps it is not to late to go record this episode - forgot that Westworld comes on every Sunday - I am starting to enjoy the series quite a bit

It's very intriguing. Some people just go along for the ride, and some try to figure it out. This particular show, I'm trying to figure it all out.

What happened to the dog? Aaaahhh, the kid killed it. And arnold told him to do it. So, arnold is not dead, or arnold is like the main computer like a H.A.L., or maybe another robot? Or perhaps the woman Teresa, is maybe Arnold's daughter?
