In the process of making this: Edited: I put the wrong recipe below. I'm doing the loaf pan lasagna for two.

That looks good - I could make that for me and Josh as Andy does not like pasta (can you believe that?)

Somewhere over the rainbow
:a11:
Every time I travel I acquire some new vice...
Got addicted to gelato on Ms. Mod's advice.
There's a double chocolate in my freezer here at home.
('though it's nowhere near as good as what I ate in Rome.)

Ireland has not been an exception to this rule.
I've discovered something else that causes me to drool.
Found it in Kilkenny, where I swallowed one down whole;
'twas a simple jam tart (for which I would sell my soul.)

Buttery; a flaky crust of shortbread - slightly sweet...
(Finished one then bought myself another one to eat)
Fresh jam for a filling. Then it's baked 'til golden brown,
(One more and they would've had to roll me out of town.)

But, I've been experimenting since we've gotten back
Trying hard to duplicate that high-caloric snack...
Think I've almost got it but next time I'm gonna try
Jam tart with gelato. I'll soon be too fat to fly.
:shame_pig:

Had a big farmer's market haul. Tried my first butternut squash, which I cubed and baked on 400 with brown sugar and cinnamon. I used up most of what I bought. I fried okra and pork chops and made cornbread to go with the purple hull peas. I'm hoping to get some more peaches because I want to make a peach pound cake. I felt like a toddler eating them; my shirt was covered in juice and I actually had to wipe my neck clean.

Dear Doc, you should seriously live next door to me.

Really? Remind me again, DJ. You are from the South or have family here?
I am not from the South but I had/have family who lived/currently living in the south. Southern food is so good. And my mom had family roots in the south along with my dad, so we had this all the time growing up out west.
