I was trying to reiterate what I was trying to say because it seemed my choice of words was not great. I didn’t mean to blow the conversation out of proportion, a balls joke about everyone’s least favorite Austrian flew over my head and I ended up making a somewhat political statement about the statistics of him compared to other 20th century dictators.
Your response to me had little to do with that but perhaps now we can move on unless you feel the need to get the last word in yet again. ;)

I think I could use one of those Last Words myself (it's a cocktail - I just found this out!)

The Last Word consists of equal amounts of gin, green Chartreuse, maraschino liqueur and freshly pressed lime juice, which are combined in a shaker with ice. After shaking, the mix is poured through a cocktail strainer (sieve) into the glass so that the cocktail contains no ice and is served "straight up".

I like my new book on Dinosaurs. Didn't know earlier that the whole era of Trias (about 250-200 MYA) when the first dinos evolved they were far from the dominant species they become. The toppredator was a giant crocodilelike monster named (i think....) Pseudosuchus with jaws like a coofeetable. A wise dino stayed away. But then in the Jurassic they died out and the spot as toppredator was open. The outdying probably had a lot to do with the breaking up of the supercontinent Pangea that existed under Trias that started end Trias- beginning Jurassic. about 30% of animal life died out but somehow the dinos made it. We dont know how but the fact remains. Perhaps they were just lucky. And never forget without the dinos we wouldn't have the cute birds!!

I always get the last word at home.

"Yes, dear."

Just started My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry by Fredrick Backman. He's the same author who wrote Beartown and A Man Called Ove. Enjoying it a lot so far.
I started this and got interrupted. Let me know what you think.

I liked this one very much. Elsa and the Land of Almost Awake touched my heart. I both laughed and cried during my read. This is the 3rd book of Backman's I have read and I am really impressed by his humor and ability to accurately present a wide variety of people with such humanity. Old, young, crazy, grief-stricken, pregnant - you name it and he can write it convincingly.

I need to get back to it!
