Under your bed
Saw my dealer today, scored me another four color fix. Worse than smack, Jack, got me a comic book monkey on my back. But oh! Those fifty cent and dollar boxes are fulla gold lately. Scratched my cosmic Marvel itch with a buncha mint Fantasy Masterpieces, which reprint the classic Silver Surfer series alongside Jim Starlin's Warlock. How far out can you get, tiger? It's, like, cosmic!

Grabbed another stack of Groo, too. Wouldn't you? At these prices they're practically giving 'em away.

Yes. They send a daily email of ebooks on sale or even free. I have downloaded many inexpensive books for my Kindle. I also am a member with Early Bird Books – eBook Deals Newsletter for Kindle or Other eReaders.
Once you try an e-Reader, you'll get used to it. I still love a real book, but tend to prefer my Kindle. It's easier to hold (esp in bed), holds 100s of books, and has features such as highlighting favorite passages and looking up unfamiliar words. I find that turning down the screen brightness makes it perfect to read for me.

that's definitely a cool feature. i usually go with context clues, but i'm sure i've been somewhat off a few times, and i don't ever remember later
Yeah, you just highlight the word and a definition pops up. You can also translate foreign words/phrases and get a Wikipedia page for certain content. Sometimes, when reading a real book, I'll find myself getting ready to touch a word to get its meaning. :0:

i haven't reached a point of reading ebooks yet. not sure how long it'll take me to board that train lol.
I personally prefer a real book, but I do have an original kindle.
Really can't beat the convenience factor, especially when going on holiday.

I finished The Store by Bentley Little last night.
A good solid story, with characters that I cared about. There were a couple of moments that were a little too far fetched. In my opinion, I get that we need a certain suspension of disbelief but characters need to believe and react in a believable way and a couple of times I was pulled right out of the story and literally said "really??" out loud. But on the whole I quite enjoyed it!

Moved onto SAND by Hugh Howey, I loved the Silo trilogy by him and have been looking forward to this one for quite some time.
Funnily enough, I bought this one for my kindle too. Read the first part, it looks to be broken down into 5 parts like WOOL was. I love the way Hugh can create a fictional world that pulls you in, in such a short space of time.

The High Seas
STRANGE WEATHER -- By Joe Hill

Really excited about this one, Joe can lay the smack down with his smaller works. I haven't gotten around to NOS4A2 or The Fireman yet, have them but haven't even cracked the spines. But this one, I will dig in.

I'm going on vacation so I may wait just a few more weeks and take it with me to have something to read on the beach.
