John Byrne’s Fantastic Four #s 242 - 244! Holy moly! Everybody versus Galactus! Loved seeing the weakened world-devourer take a Reed-slingshot Ben Grimm in the face. KerSLAMMO! Then I did the big four part journey into the Negative Zone. Whoa...

Tell ya, the first half of Byrne’s run are some of the best Marvel comics you can read. The second half? Err...I think he just stopped giving a damn. She-Hulk? Baxter Building destroyed? Sue’s horrible Mullet haircut? Ugh.

And, to tell the truth, Reed and Sue are terrible parents.

I have no idea what you just said, but you said it with such enthusiasm and authority! Sure, I'll follow you to Heaven's Gate.

Finished Alias Grace—highly recommend! I had watched the first episode of the Netflix series, then decided to read the book before watching any more. Atwood’s writing is beautiful; I felt as if I were talking to the characters.

I’m starting The Story of Edgar Sawtelle next. [/QUOTE]

Into the third story in Joe Hill's Strange Weather, which is a collection of 4 novellas. The first two were quite good and very different from one another. The second one, Loaded, was Joe's take on the right to bear arms, gun control, yada, yada, yada... At first I thought it was going to be a big yawn/sermon. Turns out it's a very well written and thought out story. Lots of food for thought in there.
