How are you enjoying the haunting of hill houseI'm reading The Haunting of Hill House and Little Women, both at the same time.
I am still working on this. I have been very unproductive lately. I've only read page 50 but it seems all right so far.How are you enjoying the haunting of hill house
Still working on it.Last week I finished For Those Who Wish Me Dead by Michael Koryta. Wow. That one is now my favorite Michael Koryta book.
I see there is a movie in production and Angelina Jolie is going to be in it.
Went to a book signing and "In conversation with Linwood Barclay and Ian Rankin" at The Poisoned Pen on Thursday. Had not read anything by either author before but knew that Steve and Linwood are friends so on his recommendation that Linwood's books are "a lot of fun", decided to go. I'm reading Ian Rankin's book first, though, for no particular reason. It's titled "In a House of Lies" and is one of his Rebus books but so far isn't an issue that I haven't read any of the earlier ones. The Linwood Barclay book I bought and will probably read next is A Noise Downstairs.
Does anyone have any favorites by either author they'd recommend adding to my TBR list?
Thanks! Will add that to the list.I've read a couple Linwood Barclay books and liked Never Look Away the best.
I loved Tom Hanks' book. Think that was my favorite discovery last year.I finished Flight or Fright (Edited by SK & Bev Vincent) and absolutely loved it! It was brilliant, thank you so much Bev (& Stephen ) for the wonderful trip.
Am now reading Uncommon Type by Tom Hanks. Didn't even know that he wrote! Enjoying it very much so far.
So happy to help you. I've read about 10 of Barclays books and like him. My faves are: No Time For Goodbye, Fear The Worst and Never Look Away. They are really good thrillers. Hope you like him. Oh, and if you do like him you might like Harlan Coben too. They are, writingwise, related. Personally i prefer Barclay over Coben but that might be up to taste. Thank you for the recommendations! I read the Rankin book on the flight home which I enjoyed but left the Barclay book in Scottsdale so I'd have it to read when I go back. In the meantime, I can check out the other titles you mentioned. I've never read Harlan Coben but think he's another writer who Steve has recommended, too.So happy to help you.
