I pay 160 Euro per year for a television license and 39 Euro per month for Sky but tbh the only thing I watch regularly is football highlights on Match of the Day and occasional true crime docs that Shirley records.

Thes Packages are too Expensive. And you have to Pay extra for Champions League Games.
Ok, thats not an Issue for you and me, a Ham and a Sports Club Hamburg Supporter :D

BtW. Has somebody heared about the Series "Electric Dreams" ?

La Mante, a French short series (six episodes, in French, subtitled) on Netflix. A serial killer, nicknamed 'La Mante' (The Mantis) decides to collaborate with the police when a string of murders that copycat her style suddenly appear.

I’m halfway through and really like it. Former Bond girl Carole Bouquet plays la mante. She certainly has aged beautifully.

Finished Godless (Good show. Jeff Daniels is amazing in a very strong cast), and am now 3 eps into the latest series of Black Mirror. I'm also watching Pushing Daisies for the first time on CW Seed (a Roku channel). What a weird and wonderful show! Reminds me of both Dead Like Me and iZombie--a sort of mash up. Wish I'd seen it when it was current, but glad to catch it now.

For Your Eyes Only was the first Bond film I ever saw, so for a long time she was my favourite Bondgirl. Although in the end my favourite became Daniela Bianchi (From Russia with Love).

For Your Eyes Only was also the last Bondfilm to feature Blofeld before he finally returned in Spectre. In the prologue of For Your Eyes Only, Blofeld is unceremoniously dumped by Bond in a factory chimney from a helicopter. The (exquisitely shot) prologue of Spectre also featured a helicopter prominently (although Blofeld himself only appears later in the movie) - it felt to me almost like a way to link the two films, it could be coincidence of course.
I found it quite disappointing how they handled Spectre though in their self titled film. The idea of Quantum of Solace was to introduce a new organization similar to Spectre but not Spectre itself, but then it turns out Spectre is behind it all anyway and all the adversaries Craig had in his films - it was just too simple and lazily written.

Even though Daniel Craig got off to a superb start with Casino Royale, the subsequent movies disappointed mostly, Spectre being my favourite of the other three. Quantum of Solace is just underwhelming and Skyfall simply doesn't feel like a Bondfilm to me - it feels like a regular spy-thriller but misses that bit extra which makes a Bondfilm. Spectre does at least feel like a Bondfilm, but the writing is weak and the decision to give Bond and Blofeld a shared personal past is very questionable.
I hope Craig's last will be better written. In Bondfilms there are a lot of elements that can overtake the plot and make it secondary, but I feel that some of the best Bondfilms, certainly the early ones with Connery and some of the later ones as well, like For Your Eyes Only, The Living Daylights and Casino Royale have a good plot as well as all the spectacle. For Your Eyes Only is still one of my most favourite.

Watching the latest singing competition talent show on Fox, The Four. I’m so bored. Diddy says the show is a different type of show, and it is, in that it seems totally contrived and convoluted.

There are four singers who hold the top spots. Challengers sing in order to overthrow one of the four and take his spot. The four panelists all seem fake and overly energetic. Sean “Diddy” Combs reminds us all that you need to bring your A-game and be original. He wants greatness now, and bring it, and man, he is serious. Megan Trainor is constantly looking amazed at everything. Recording producer, Somebody I Don’t Know, is very picky and harsh. DJ Khaled needs you to be a SUPERSTAR. Every argument is fake and the ire among the panelists is laughable.

There is no connecting to any of the contestants the way one might on American Idol or The Voice. No one seems real or even that great of an artist. I don’t know, maybe I’m just tired of reality shows. I’m sure Diddy would have something to say bout that.

Oh, and Fergie as host is plain cringy. What’s the deal with the chronic surprised eyebrow look?

My daughter wanted me to watch Big Little Liars with her, so here I am :) The people on this show are nuts--any adult with enough time to fiddlefart around with first grade drama is ridiculous. And the Nicole Kidman/ Alexander Skarsgard relationship is making me ragey. I basically loathe them all, the kids included. Sigh.

The return of the X-files was good. It seems Scully's (and Mulder's) son is gonna be the main thread within the alien conspiracy mythology. Too bad I don't remember the main episodes that dealt with that in the 9th season that well anymore - it would be great if X-files was on Netflix so you could repeat those, but it don't seem it is.
Also the Cigarette Smoking Man's real name was revealed for the first time. It was a good episode, but just so short - after waiting for so long you want more and it's over so soon. At least it will have four more episodes than the 10th season, but it seems Anderson wants to stop after that (usually after such a decision it becomes a matter of increasing money to get actors back).

How many episodes are you done with? I finished it when it came out on HBO and liked it. It got better with each one.

Heaven help me, I watched the season 2 sneak peak for Mama June: From Not to Hot last week and now I'm going to watch the season 1 episodes airing today. I like fictional dysfunctional family sitcoms like Married with Children and Arrested Developement but I'm a bit worried that watching Honey Boo Boo and Mama June all day might cause brain damage. Have any of y'all watched this show and survived?

I can't say that I have watched this show. Lately I've been recording Breaking Bad and watching it. Actually found a few episodes I hadn't seen before so that was a bonus!

I started to watch new episodes of X Files. I have heard of the series since it started in the 90's but have never watch it before (it was too scary to watch it when I was a kid). Now finally when they show season 10 and 11 here on our Fox channel I started to like it. Mulder and Scully.

There's a number of things I find puzzling about Netflix, but one of the main things is that it doesn't offer 'recaps' at all. It lets you watch loads of tv series and you can watch as many as you like simultaneously, but that means 'recaps' are quite necessary if you follow that many stories.
Even blu-rays/dvd's usually have recaps.

Are there no recaps on Netflix anywhere?
