Adventure Time is by far my favorite modern cartoon. It's really created it's own bizarre world full of interesting, somewhat perverse characters. A world where a Rainicorn and a stretchy dog can have babies! I love The Mike Tyson Mysteries on Adult Swim, but yikes, so dirty!

And then there's this cartoon which I haven't seen in years. It ran from 1991-1995-ish which coincides with the years I was in college and.....not exactly sober I guess would be a good way to sum those years up. I remember it being pretty damn funny though.

I used to love The Rocky & Bullwinkle Show. Boris Badenov and Natasha Fatale were such wonderful villains. And the episodes with Fractured Fairy Tales, Peabody's Improbable History, and Dudley Do-Right were hilarious :)
I heard a lady in the elevator with a Russian accent at Women's Hospital the other night - I so wanted to say to her:

'Say "moose and squirrel"!'

I vote for the Simpsons, because it was a silly show with absolutely BRILLIANT humor thrown in the mix. And growing up with it, the adults were all like "ban it, it's horrible, that little spikey haired boy said 'eat my shorts'!", but it's really not all that bad. The old eps were more relatable (to most blue-collared families and their daily lives) than shows that were all "perfect"...perfect families, perfect houses, perfect kids with perfect parents and all conflicts are neatly wrapped up in 22 minutes.
I have the same beef with the Simpsons as I do with Family Guy. The older/early episodes were based around a family that argued, fought, and were far from perfect but at the end of the day it was easy to see that the family loved one another. Homer was a dope, but he loved his wife and kids. Peter was a dope, but he loved his wife and kids. Homer became so stupid he should have been put to sleep and Peter became loud, unfunny and abusive. Not funny at all. I don't like the current Simpsons/FG eps made in the last 10 years or so. I think it's gotten really stale.
I LOVE Futurama, and though I was sad to see the series cancelled (twice!), I think they did a good thing by ending it before it got really stale and boring. Futurama is one of those shows I watch over and over and always catch something new. I'd rate it as one of my all time favorites, because it's silly, stupid, fun, funny, yet many of the episodes are touching enough to sometimes bring a tear to your eye.

Oh, and Ducktales. I grew up watching this show and I loved it. No one could do Scrooge's voice like Alan Young (Mr. Ed!); I was very saddened when he died.
Along with any of the 90's Nicktoons (Ren and Stimpy = 30 minute long pseudo-acid trip, especially any of their episodes involving space, LOL)

I JUST watched the ep with Sven Hoek last night!!! The Gritty Kitty commercial had me in stitches when they said the bags of cat litter now contained free prizes, one being a baloney sandwich :barf:The baloney sandwich picture was accompanied by a loud, drawn out belch that for no good reason got me laughing so hard that today, while grocery shopping, I saw baloney in the deli and almost broke down laughing :biggrin-new:
Also possibly included..."a junior bar bell set!! A fake toe! A REAL toe!!" OMG

To this day, I still can't get This show out my head and its sheer insanity. The Shaving Yak, Powdered ToastMan and then there's the Royal Mounted Canadian Yaksman song. And who can forget Log by Blammo'
