I saw this CD in my favorite comic/record/book/collectible store last weekend in Tupelo. I picked it up because I noticed it's dedicated to Sivad, my favorite horror host. It's campy, Kitschy, corny, but damned if there isn't something I like about it. It's like the 80's hair bands met Alice Cooper and had a baby. Trailer Park Vampire, ladies and Gentlemen, enjoy or laugh or both. It's everything the name promises.

Horror hosts. How spoiled we were! I've never heard of that one. My favorite was of course, Tennessee's Sir Cecil Creape, The Phantom of the Opry. :) In real life he was a balding weatherman, ala Willard Scott. I saw him once, up close! At an autograph signing at a mall. But he cheated and used a stamp. I loved him anyway. For most of these guys it was just an extra gig to make a few more dollars. They never knew the mark they made on us impressionable little bugger machines.

Some new Joe Satriani. Album is pretty great. Joe on guitar, Glenn Hughes on bass, and Chad Smith on drums.

Been waiting for this one, the progress has been showing up on my Facebook feed for awhile ...

Another one bites the touring dust. Judas Priest guitarist Glenn Tipton announced because of his Parkinson’s progression he has quit touring. Hard to believe the guy is 70 years old. Saw them play in 1985.

Judas Priest guitarist announces Parkinson's diagnosis and quits touring - NME

Parkinson's is humiliating, not being able to control shaking .... My dad controls it with Yoga believe it or not, but that doesn't stop it .... his variant is referred to as 'essential tremors' ....

Satch is a great player and live performer. I've seen him a few times and was always blown away.

Parkinson's does suck. My Dad was diagnosed with it shortly before he passed. That was the rotten icing on the crap cake of renal failure and heart disease.
