I really enjoyed Power Station’s version of the song. I was stoked when they came on stage at Live Aid… And then this is what we got! Seems Robert Palmer pulled out of Live Aid at the last minute. The audience was pissed at the replacement and were throwing water bottles at Des Barres while he was performing the song. I just shook my head.
Mmmmm.........sorry darlink, can't like that one that much, nothing compares to Marc and Rex, for me at least

Yeah, the original by T-Rex is the best, but Power Station did it justice, and funkier, with their cover.
I really dig Robert Palmers work.
I loved The Power Station, their first album was incredible, second one was pretty good. I thought Michael Des Barres was ok, they recorded atrack with him for a movie soundtack. He went on to do an album with a band called Chequered Past, it's worth checking out.
