On the earlier Cheap Trick posts...yeah, you can never have enough Cheap Trick. Budokan is a great album, I concur. If you've got a drum set at home, your assignment is to do the intro to the posted "Ain't That a Shame" tune sometime today. It doesn't matter if you can play or not...just do it, trust me.

Lately (as in the last couple days) I have been listening to Gene Simmons's "See You Tonight."

I have the sticks and two drum pads. I will do the assignment.

Excellent! Let us know how you fare! I'm sure you will do well...
I did about a minute 41 seconds of drum roll -- because that's pretty much MY cheap trick on the drums. I do a mean drum roll. And then I went ahead and finished out the song.

My fitbit says I did 536 "steps" -- or drum hits in this case. I burned 459 calories. 0.25 miles.

I was driving on I-95 and another driver did something stupid and nearly caused an accident. It was pretty hairy for a few seconds. I noticed later on my apple watch that I was credited with a minute of exercise about that time. My heart rate must have jumped to exercise mode during that close call. :)

Your body kicked into flight or fight mode by raising your heart rate, you got a work out!

Have you ever watched any of those My 600 Pound Life shows where the people literally can't get out of bed? The doctor ALWAYS starts them out with arm exercising because it gets their heart going and they burn calories.

Then I went to a Foo Fighters concert and watched Taylor Hawkins beat the holy sh*t out of the drums, sweating like an NBA player dragging "Walton and Lanier up and down the court for 48 minutes."

So, I got this brilliant idea that I was going to become a drummer.

It's ever so much fun! I watch youtubes to learn different drumming techniques and I get my heart rate up, burn calories.

Jared, here, is my go-to man.

Yeah. I can pretty much do nothing Jared does.

Just like Jazzercize or Zumba (the circle jerk of the fitness world), I should patent and market *Drummercize. Take it to nursing homes and bedridden overweighties who need to get moving.
