Well, I just saw that our gracious host and his son Joe will be making an appearance in my home state! Just signed up to get the email link to buy tickets when they go on sale. Hoping I can land some! It will be tricky as I will be en route to a meeting in D.C. when the sale starts. Hopefully, I will be off the plane before the virtual box office opens!

In other news, it has been confirmed that I will be the project manager for my MBA cohort's capstone project. We were told our client will be either The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy or Zildjian Cymabals. Apparently, the original client the school lined up backed out at the last minute. The AWSC and Zildjian were the two back ups. I'm cool with either as I suggested both as potential partners. I guess it pays to be on the good side of the MBA director :biggrin-new:
We expect a full report because I know you will get tickets.

On the bad news front, I have a dentist appointment later today. I cracked a crown, broke the corner of the tooth next to the cracked crown, and broke the filling in that tooth  Not even sure how I did it. Luckily, there's been no pain, just a jagged edge on the chipped tooth. There will be pain after my appointment today, though. In my wallet.......

Manifesting you score the tickets, and congrats on being the project manager. Much success.

No go on the tickets.

I logged into the site for the store hosting the event right when the link went live. Their server promptly crashed. I didn't get tickets but that's better than what happened to some folks. Because the server crashed the merchant lost count of the number of tickets that were actually sold. They ended up overselling the event. Some people that thought they had tickets actually don't have them. The whole situation was pretty FUBAR.

I tried to get tickets through Ticketmaster after I couldn't get them through the bookstore. That was a no go as well

We ended up getting an out of left field client for our project. The AWSC people flaked out and Zildjian didn't have a project ready for us. A a result we are working with a toy company. Not sure exactly what we are doing yet though.

I was positive you would get tickets. Damn. Sorry you didn't. And I'm sorry things went t*ts up with the host for all those other people. Why does this continually happen? I just don't get it. S*** happens, yes, but it seems nobody knows how to plan anything right anymore on so many events, not just Stephen King things.

And always excuses. We didn't expect this kind of turnout. We've never hosted an event like this before. We were born yesterday, so sorry we didn't have a plan in place with testing and troubleshooting scenarios worked out.
