Just doing normal house chores, and reading SKMB posts.
Hi Spidey - does doing normal household chores including using a big bottle of vodka to make hand sanitizer? I heard there are some good recipes online but you have to be careful and use high proof alcohol

So far today haven't done too much but it is a beautiful sunny day out there.

Lol.....that last one is sometimes the hardest chore you'll have to do. :) ;)
Actually for me it is the highlight of the day, as being indoors so much can become a bit grating on the nerves.

Hey Bee's Nees.:)

Hi Wolfie

:bee:
Actually it is very difficult to find alcohol and aloe vera around here.

Aloe vera was a big fad back in the 80s (at least with my old SIL) - they thought it was so great it could just about cure cancer.

I do have some essential oils I like using in my diffuser, especially the lemon, rosemary and eucalyptus ones. They may not kill germs but they do smell really nice when I use it in the kitchen.

So I just heard Prince Charles has tested positive for COVID 19 but the Queen is still healthy

Yum!

My tomatoes were a horrible disappointment this past season. I think there was just not enough watering and too much direct sunlight. The centre of the tomatoes had a hard white core that ran thickly all the way through, they looked lovely and delicious on the outside, but tasted very bland and most of them ended up becoming relish... which still tastes quite good. But I was sad to not have yummy home-grown tasty tomatoes as well! :biggrin2:

I found hand sanitizer and disposable gloves at home so guess it's a good day.
It's surprising some of the stuff we find in our houses, isn't it?

Today I made some Double Ginger Crackle cookies (has both candied ginger and powdered ginger in the recipe)

I just had one, still warm

Luckily they are only 80 calories each so equivalent to eating a slice of bread but so much yummier!

Those do look yummy! It took less time than I thought it would, but my craving for sweets is practically non-existent having given them up for several months now. Well, one exception was the birthday cupcake but otherwise natural sugar in fruit has been what's satisfied the sweet tooth. Hopefully that continues once I get down to my goal weight or otherwise I'll be on the upswing of that dieting yo yo I've done all my life.

That's great - glad to hear it :m_petals:

- I limited myself to one and I am not sure why I even had the urge to bake, but Josh is glad I did.

After my one cookie I switched over to canteloupe which is a lot better for me.

Goal weight? Yikes - that may take me at least six months but I am being patient and using my indoor bike for now

:m_taichi: (I miss my old Tai Chi classes but I know that eventually we will all be able to get back together again)
