Attended the virtual masterclass with Vernon Reid of Living Colour today!

it was pretty rad! Totally geeked out. Vernon was very gracious and insightful. Class went almost double the allotted time and Vernon was totally cool with answering questions. He gave us some cool techniques, exercises, and new ways to approach the fretboard.

He answered my questions about shifting time signatures! My big takeaways were be the beat and be authentic in your playing. Basically, find your own voice on the instrument and don’t worry about sounding like anyone else or worrying that you aren’t a good enough player.

Totally lucky and blessed to be able to attend.
Ah, Swift this sounds fantastic I'm really pleased for you that got to do this... just brilliant!

I'm so happy for you that you had this opportunity. A memory for a lifetime.

I'm going to attempt one of those homemade HD TV antennae. If it works nicely I can drop the cable and just use HD and internet. Once done, my next step is to get rid of the landline and get one of those cheap cell phones. That'll cut my internet/phone/cable bill by half. If I have this figured out correctly I should, within the next 3 or 4 months, be able to pay of all world nations debts and usher in a new age of peace and prosperity. Due to the altruistic catch-22 (I.e. "Am I doing it to make myself feel better?") I will henceforth go under the name of Bob. :)

We have some crows mad at us. Mr. Blue opened the door on what turned out to be an injured crow on our porch and I think the others thought he hurt it or was trying to hurt it so they've been dive-bombing him every time he goes outside. We have a contractor swinging by to work up the estimate on the kitchen cabinet refinishing we need to do before we sell our house here so I sure hope they don't scare him off.
