Excellent! What did you get? When does he get it and can we please hear about his reaction? I can't believe how grown up he is.

It looks a bit dark but I used whole wheat flour - still haven't tried cutting it yet.
Just finally turned on the AC thanks to the high heat warnings for the next few days (plus Andy is now baking potatoes and roasting spareribs in the oven) 450 degrees
Help yourself - dig in! It's good with butter (if it tastes anything like my previous loaves)

I wish Andy would trade his in - it's like being in a bouncy castle when we drive over rough roads

Now that's interesting. I wonder if the tea sprinkle works? That's a good looking car! (I Googled it too)
Today I watered the garden as it's very hot outside (but I didn't do the indoor plants yet)
I am trying an experiment - you are supposed to be able to take a chamomile tea bag, open it up and sprinkle it on potting soil then cover it with clear plastic and put it in the window. After a few days it is supposed to germinate, as long as you keep it damp.
I grew some pepper seedlings from the seeds inside a red pepper - got an awful lot of those! (now they're in our back garden).
Maybe I am watching too many YouTube videos about gardening lately
Also had a few seeds left over from last year's Bring Back the Bees seeds I got in the mail from Cheerios - they sprouted and now I have five little sunflower plants
When we went to Washington last year we went to a duck pond and an army of ducks were racing past us to get to the stereotypical old man sitting on a bench throwing bread to the birds trope. Amazing, I thought that only happened in movies. Was pretty cool to see ducks run as fast as their webbed feet can take them across a long stretch of land, quacking all the way.
I had a baby gosling once. Just overnight. Its mama got ran over in the road at hubby's work and he saw the baby (don't know if there were more) and stopped and rescued it before it got ran over too.
We fed it bread crumbs, it ate right out of my hand. Then the next day we took it over to a little fishing lake in town, because there are always a lot of geese there. We found a little family and released our baby gosling near them and it swam right out and was accepted by mama goose as one of her own. We watched them for a bit and it was like our baby had always been her baby. No nitpicking or loud quacking, just acceptance!
